Rafter D Genetics has a small inventory of used stereozoom microscopes for sale. These are Professional microscopes suitable for a commercial embryo transfer facility. We carry used Nikon SMZ-1, SMZ-2, SMZ-2T, and SMZ-10 scopes suitable for embryo searching and grading. We also carry compound scopes for semen evaluation.

We are distributors for the Beltron EFT-3002 portable embryo freezer. This freezer is pre-programmed to freeze embryos from -6.5C to -34.8C at a fixed rate of -0.5C/min which is suitable for mammalian embryos. The freezer is completely automatic and does not need constant monitoring. Once the embryos are placed in the freezing chamber and the program is started, it will automatically freeze to the final temperature and hold indefinitely. It sets on top of any standard liquid nitrogen tank but does not expend a lot of nitrogen from the tank.

We have a source for an economical laptop ultrasound designed for small operations that want to get into reproductive ultrasound technology without the high cost. The ultrasound comes with a 7.5mhz transrectal probe suitable for use in cattle, horses and goats. It can also be used in other species including cats & dogs. The ultrasound comes with a soft sided carrying case.

We have a small selection of endoscopes suitable for caprine/ovine embryo transfer and Lap AI. Each set comes with a 5mm, 0 degree Stryker endoscope with a portable fiber optic light source and two new 5.5mm trochars. The set also comes with a new hard sided carrying case to protect the scope during storage and transfer. These are used scopes but each scope is evaluated and in perfect working condition with no blurry images.

Rafter D Genetics builds custom sheep/goat cradles suitable for Lap AI and ET. Each cradle is custom built and is adjustable to various heights to accommodate the technician. The cradle has a full tilt for the use with laparoscopic techniques. It also has an adjustable length to accommodate larger breeds. Custom cradles can also be made to suit for larger or smaller animals upon request. These standard cradles are designed for standard sheep and goat breeds.

We offer a veterinary anesthesia machine for use with small and large ruminants. We have a source for new and a limited supply of refurbished machines. These machines use an isoflurane vaporizer and come with
rebreathing tubes and large or small bags and masks.
